GameDay Recycling Challenge

The GameDay Recycling Challenge is a nationwide competition, among colleges and universities to reduce and recycle waste generated at home football games. To participate in the competition, schools choose one home football game to track and report their waste diversion data. This year, we are partnering with the Osprey Initiative and student organizations across campus to collect the most amount of recyclables for the LSU game against the University of Vanderbilt on November 23, 2024. LSU has previously won the 2015, 2016 and 2019 competition. If you or your student organization is looking to volunteer, you can do so by filling out the sign-up form.

Volunteer Time

  • Saturday morning, November 23
    • to assist with collecting recyclables around the grounds and in the stadium.

Spring Greening Day

Spring Greening Day is an annual half-day service project to beautify and green the LSU campus. The inclusion and creation of more green spaces on campus produce positive impacts for our campus ecosystem and student health.

Join us on April 23, 2025, from 11 am - 2 pm, where we will be planting greenery in front of Memorial Tower. This event is made possible by our partnership with Keep Louisiana Beautiful, Auxiliary Services, RCI, and Toro.
