Per our Rules and Regulations, there are areas of campus marked as no parking for various safety reasons (i.e.
blocking fire lanes or fire hydrants). To better address these behaviors photo enforcement
technology has been deployed on campus, this allows LSU PTS to address safety concerns
24/7.
Signage has been placed in areas where photo enforcement technologies are deployed,
alerting the community that the area is actively monitored and enforced 24/7 . This
technology captures images of vehicles and license plate information to be reviewed
by LSU Parking and Transportation Enforcement Staff.
All documented behaviors are reviewed to ensure that all citations are as accurate
as possible and to verify documented behaviors.
Photo Enforcement Policy
Fire Lane/Fire Hydrant Policy:
Parking at a fire hydrant or on a red curb is prohibited at all times. Any vehicle parked, stopped, or standing at any time by a red curb or fire hydrant will be ticketed, booted, and/or towed and impounded by the University.
FIRE LANE CITATIONS ARE $325.00
Citations issued to LSU Permit Holders will appear on their in the customers Parking Portal, additional communications will be sent to the email address associated with the permit.
Citations issued to vehicles without a valid LSU Permit will be mailed by the Louisiana Office of the Attorney General.
