Research Enabling Technology Services

The Research Enabling Technology Services (RETS) team enables research, education, and discovery by providing advanced computing and data infrastructure and services, promotes research IT technology across all disciplines, and provides expert support and training to advance the missions of LSU and the state of Louisiana.

In partnership with key campus stakeholders, RETS envisions a future where cutting-edge computing and data infrastructure empowers all faculty, staff, and students to push the boundaries of research and education. By continually advancing technological capabilities, RETS will foster an environment of innovation, enabling the university community to lead groundbreaking discoveries and educational excellence.

RETS offers a range of services and support to researchers:

• High Performance Computing: Services related to HPC Account Management, Troubleshooting, & Training.
• Research Data Services (offered in conjunction with LSU Libraries): Support for planning, storing, preserving, and accessing LSU research Data.
• Cloud Computing for Research: Support for planning and deploying resources in the cloud.
• Compliance Regulations for Research: Support for planning and deploying resources for research projects that have compliance requirements.
• AI Consulting: AI model guidance, deployment support, and compliance navigation for researchers.
• Research Technology Consulting: Guidance and support for researchers who need to optimize the use of IT technologies for their research..
