Scholarships

Overview

The Gordon A. Cain Center for STEM Literacy works year-round to ensure that students and teachers have every opportunity to expand their knowledge within the STEM field by developing curricula, courses, and maintaining high-quality standards. We understand that scholarships are integral in supporting a student's education. Awarded on the basis of academic achievements, these scholarships provide students financial support and a sense of pride. STEM Seal Scholarships are earned by acquiring STEM Seals, whereas State Rally Scholarships are won in a traditional scholastic competition. In any case, students continue to challenge themselves daily to achieve outstanding academic achievements and these scholarships help to highlight these qualities that shine brightly from dedicated, studious students year round.

Louisiana High School Rally Association

District and State Rallies are scheduled to take place on March 15, 2025 and April 12, 2025.

The Louisiana High School Rally Association (LHSRA) is a voluntary, non-profit, educational association of middle and junior units of a school (i.e. 8-12 grades in a K-12 school or ninth grade centers), home schools, and senior high schools that are recognized by the State Department of Louisiana and the colleges and universities that coordinate the district and state competition. The Gordon A. Cain Center for STEM Literacy is proud to host the Louisiana State Rally Competition at LSU every year.

LHSRA provides opportunities for Louisiana students to achieve district- and state-level recognition for their academic and performance talents. First, second, and third place winners of the 46 State Rally academic events (divisions top scorers) will be awarded a medal and a certificate.

First place State Rally winners receive a $500 scholarship if they attend a university or college within Louisiana.
