The Champion of Students Award is presented to an LSU faculty or staff member who
has demonstrated outstanding service to a student organization.
Medical Buddies by Alpha Epsilon Delta
This award celebrates events and initiatives that cultivate a sense of belonging and
connection among members by tapping into existing members, growing group membership,
and developing leadership skills within the organization.
This year’s Outstanding Member Engagement and Development program, Medical Buddies, paired members together to provide a unique opportunity to explore a career in medicine while forming friendships, building support systems, and learning more about social and professional opportunities in Baton Rouge.
Project Excel by Collegiate 100
This award is presented to an organization that actively engages with and positively
impacts the Baton Rouge community or wider society through impactful projects, initiatives,
and volunteer efforts.
This year’s Outstanding Community Impact program, Project Excel, was created with
the purpose of supporting and encouraging young African American men in the Baton
Rouge community. Participants were provided with resources on health and wellness
and economic empowerment while experiencing mentorship and education from members
of the LSU community.
International Fusion by the International Student Association and LSU Student Government
This award honors successful collaborations between two or more student organizations
that have made a meaningful contribution to the LSU community.
This year’s Outstanding Collaboration Program, International Fusion, was a dynamic
showcase of LSU’s multicultural community, featuring performances from over 20 student
organizations representing 11 different countries. This event fostered a deep understanding
and appreciation for cultural diversity with participants by providing a platform
for students to share their heritage through artistic expression.
MCAT Study Buddies and Resource Auction by Alpha Epsilon Delta
This award is presented to an impactful program that demonstrates a commitment to
fostering and cultivating academic excellence among its members through academic programming,
providing academic resources, or demonstrating an impact on the academic performance
of members.
This Outstanding Scholarship Program, MCAT Study Buddies, offered tutoring to members
of the organization and the broader LSU community, providing both academic support
to students in need and service opportunities for those serving as tutors. Additionally,
this organization has provided members with affordable or free study materials to
make academic success more accessible.
Festival of Nations by the International Student Association
The Outstanding Campus Engagement Award honors an organization that has created an
outstanding event or initiative focused on building positive interactions among different
cultures and emphasizing the importance of diversity and multiculturalism.
The Festival of Nations was one of the largest multicultural events hosted on campus
this year, with nearly 1000 participants representing countries from all over the
globe. This event fostered an inclusive and welcoming campus environment, celebrating
diversity and enhancing cultural exchange through food, music, games, and social interactions.
Bengals in the Wild at LSU
The new organization selected for this award will have demonstrated their commitment
to the organization’s mission along with excellence in leadership, student engagement,
innovation, scholarship, service, or collaboration.
Bengals in the Wild at LSU has cultivated a thriving community at LSU through providing
accessible opportunities for fellow Tigers to experience the outdoors. From backpacking
in Arkansas to rock climbing in Kentucky, this organization has provided a welcoming
environment for any LSU student interested in experiencing first-hand what nature
has to offer.
Beta Zeta Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi
The Most Improved Organization of the Year Award is presented to an outstanding student
organization that has exhibited significant and measurable progress in revitalizing
membership, improving focus on its mission and internal operations, creating/improving
events, or establishing a plan for continued organizational growth.
The Beta Zeta Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi overhauled their organization after identifying
struggles with membership retention and financial wellbeing. Through curating a diverse
array of interactive events and networking opportunities for members and alumni, this
organization has bolstered their membership engagement and seen an influx of resources
that have created even more opportunities for their members.
International Student Association
This award is presented to a student organization with a majority membership of graduate
students. The organization selected for this award will have demonstrated their commitment
to the organization’s mission along with excellence in leadership, student engagement,
innovation, scholarship, service, or collaboration.
The International Student Association has showcased leadership, scholarship, and collaboration
in their efforts to improve the graduate student experience and provide opportunities
for all graduate students to explore different cultures and celebrate diversity on
campus. Through hosting successful initiatives throughout the year focused on promoting
cultural understanding and strengthening connections among the student body, this
organization has positively impacted the LSU community.
Alpha Epsilon Delta
This prestigious award recognizes an organization that has made a lasting positive
impact on the LSU community, fostered leadership opportunities for its members, and
consistently upheld its mission and values.
Recording a record-breaking year of service, education, and collaboration, this organization
has strived to provide opportunities for members to get involved with leadership and
serving their campus community. From raising over $10,000 dollars for their local
philanthropy to providing over 6,000 hours of service to the LSU and Baton Rouge community,
members of this organization have certainly made a deep impact on campus.
