Ben Barousse is a finance major at Louisiana State University's E.J. Ourso College of Business, serving as the 2026–2027 Student Body President and as the student member of the LSU Board of Supervisors. Growing up in Covington, Louisiana, Barousse has built a record of leadership and service that spans student government, Greek life, and other forms of community engagement.

Prior to his election, Mr. Barousse served as a student senator and as the Assistant Director of Finance within Student Government, and gained experience working on multiple Student Government campaigns. These roles gave him direct experience in legislative processes, funding allocation, and the policy decisions that shape daily life for LSU students. That foundation continues to inform his approach to advocacy and leadership as Student Body President.

Beyond Student Government, Mr. Barousse has remained actively engaged in campus and community life. He served as President of Tau Kappa Epsilon and has contributed to several philanthropic committees focused on service and community impact. He also served as a founding board member and Treasurer of Gloves for Gleason, a nonprofit he helped bring to life in 2025.

Looking ahead, Mr. Barousse is exploring careers at the intersection of finance and public policy, with an interest in roles where a strong financial background and a commitment to service can work hand in hand. This past summer, he interned in the office of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, a two-time LSU alumnus, gaining firsthand exposure to the federal legislative process. He remains committed to representing the interests of LSU students and strengthening the university community during his time on the Board of Supervisors.
