LSU Facility Services turned a delayed repair into innovation when Aaron Cherry modeled a broken part and Natale Nappi 3D-printed a replacement overnight. Their teamwork shows LSU’s pride, creativity, and problem-solving spirit, working together as a team to find a solution.
LSU celebrated three faculty members during the Presidential Laurel recognition ceremony. The event recognizes the exceptional academic and research accomplishments of faculty over the past academic year.
The LSU Board of Supervisors has named six faculty members as Boyd Professors, the university’s highest academic honor. This historic cohort—the largest ever—includes four from LSU, one from LSU Shreveport, and one from Pennington Biomedical.

Nearly everyone has looked up at the night sky and wondered about the mysteries of the universe. LSU astrophysicist Eric Burns says he and his fellow experts are doing that very thing from a scientific perspective, and they recently struck gold.
