Directions

The LSU Museum of Natural Science is located on LSU’s Campus in Murphy J. Foster Hall, behind Middleton Library and across from the Greek Amphitheatre. The back of the building faces Dalrymple Dr. 

Directions From I-10

Route 1

Exit at Nicholson Dr./Highland Rd. (Exit 155A).
Take Highland Rd. to Dalrymple Dr. (about 1.4 miles).

Route 2

Exit at Dalrymple Dr. (Exit 156B).
From the off-ramp, both eastbound and westbound traffic will turn right onto Dalrymple Dr.
Take Dalrymple Dr. to Highland Rd. (about 0.5 mile).

Route 3

Exit at Acadian Thruway (Exit 157B).
If exiting from the eastbound off-ramp, turn right onto Acadian Thruway.
If exiting from the westbound off-ramp, turn left onto Acadian Thruway.
Take Acadian Thruway (which turns into Stanford Avenue and then into LSU Avenue) to Highland Rd.
Turn right onto Highland Rd.
Take Highland Rd. to Dalrymple Dr. (about 1.8 miles).

Visitor Parking

The closest visitor parking to the Museum is the Visitor Information Center (see map), located on the corner of Dalrymple Drive and Highland Road and Thomas Boyd Lot located off of Dalrymple Drive. Parking in these lots are *metered.

Visitors can also park in the other metered parking spaces located throughout campus, including the Parking Garage (2nd, 3rd, & 4th floors) on East Campus Drive.

*Metered parking is $1.50 an hour on weekdays from 7AM-10PM (7AM-8PM in Parking Garage).

Group Visit Parking - Buses

Buses can drop off and pick up passengers on Tower Drive in front of the Memorial Tower.  Once they have dropped off, they can park in the Remote Shuttle Parking lot (Bus Parking Lot) off of Skip Bertman Drive, on the other side of Nicholson Drive from the stadium. Buses are not allowed through the center of campus.
